About the Position

The position involves teaching Swedish to grades 7-9. You will be part of a work team where you are expected to contribute to the team's development by actively participating in conferences and group professional development. In the next school year, we will focus on language to make teaching accessible for all students.

Your teaching is based on the requirements of the governing documents regarding planning, implementation, follow-up, and development. In addition to regular teaching and mentorship, you are expected, together with other staff, to focus on and contribute to school development to support all students' right to a safe and developing school experience. You have a student focus and believe in each student's will and ability to develop, and you vary your teaching according to the students' needs.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching
• use methods and approaches that lead to student development and the best possible achievement of goals
• practice mentorship/perform class leader duties
• support students' social development
• create a good learning environment
• document in the existing operational systems

About the Workplace

Odenskolan is a K-9 school located in Odensbacken. Currently, about 300 students study at the school, from preschool to grade 9. Odensbacken is located about 25 km from Örebro with good bus connections.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school. Qualifications

You take responsibility for your tasks and can communicate clearly. It is important that you collaborate and create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are a pedagogical leader in the classroom and, through your engagement, contribute to the student's academic and social development.

Requirements:

• teaching license with qualifications to teach Swedish for grades 7-9, or a qualifying degree that entitles you to a license

Meritorious:

• experience working as a Swedish teacher
• knowledge of language and knowledge-developing approaches
